Dan Kurlapski · Leadership & nervous system coach

Nervous system reset for founders and leaders.

For founders and leaders who’ve mastered the external and can feel the internal system asking for attention. Deep nervous-system recalibration for clarity, capacity, and calm leadership.

What if the next level
doesn’t need more effort?

On paper everything looks right. The team is growing, the family is intact, the calendar is full. Underneath, something is off. The body is wired. Sleep is light. You react where you used to respond. Your leadership has outgrown the operating system that got you here.

People often arrive after years of heavy workload, close to burnout or just past it. They’ve built the external architecture. Now the internal architecture behind their clarity, emotional bandwidth, and nervous-system capacity needs attention.

“For people who’ve mastered the external, and are ready to attend to the internal.”

    Integration

After the retreat. Into the life.

A retreat is the opening; integration is where it becomes durable. Structured follow-up, practical habits, and the kind of accountability that helps insight become an operating system you can actually live by.

Safety & depth

A growth experience.

High-performing people are often quietly cautious about this kind of work — for good reason. Untrained facilitators. Spiritual bypass. Forced vulnerability. The fear of being the most exposed person in the room.

  • Skilled facilitation. Trained in NLP, integral practice, and Facilitated Breath Re-Patterning. Years in elite sport and clinical settings.
  • Science before story. Nervous-system regulation, applied psychology, and behavioural integration come first. Spiritual language stays optional.
  • Privacy and consent. Confidential by default. No forced sharing. You set the depth. We set the safety.
  • Orientation, not improvisation. Clear arc, clear protocol, clear off-ramps. Built for people who carry real responsibility.
  • High trust quickly. Small groups. Pre-work. Direct conversations before you ever arrive.

About Dan

Meet Dan Kurlapski.

Dan works at the intersection of nervous-system regulation, human psychology, and leadership performance. He originally founded and ran a series of physiotherapy clinics across Sydney, and spent years working inside elite sport environments.

Alongside the science, he has explored the depth of contemplative practice — multiple 10-day silent meditation retreats, time in the Amazon jungle, and his own daily practice. He has been teaching meditation for 14 years, having been mentored by Master Brahm in Zen-based Buddhist meditation. He is an NLP & Integral Practitioner and a Facilitated Breath Re-Patterning practitioner, and has spent years studying and teaching meditation, developmental psychology, consciousness, communication, and transformative integration.

Today he runs YES& Conscious Leadership and Breathwork Byron, where he works as a coach and mentor to founders and leaders through nervous-system reset retreats and one-on-one integration programs — helping people build what matters with calm momentum, restoring clarity, presence, capacity, and ultimately more life in the years they're living.

Common questions

Asked & answered.

Who is this actually for?

Founders, executives, partners, and operators with real responsibility for a company, a team, a family, or all of the above. People who have mastered the external but feel the internal system now needs attention. Often they’re carrying heavy workload, close to burnout, recovering from burnout, or privately running on something that won't last another decade.

Is this going to be too “woo” for me?

It's built for people who arrive sceptical. The foundation is nervous-system science, applied psychology, and behavioural integration. Spiritual language is available, never required. We lead with what's evidence-informed and let the rest meet you where you are.

Do I have to share in a group? Be vulnerable on demand?

No. There is no forced sharing, ever. You set the depth, we set the safety. People consistently report it feels like a place where high trust is established quickly — supported without being pressured.

Is it safe? What about untrained facilitators?

Everything Dan runs is built around skilled facilitation, clear protocols, screening, consent, and confidentiality. Deep, but supported. Real, but contained.

What's the retreat application process?

A short application, then a private conversation with Dan. Cohorts are kept small and are by invitation. Logistics, dates, and venue details are shared once a fit is confirmed.

Should I start with coaching or a retreat?

Most people benefit from the retreat first — it creates a complete recalibration in days that 1:1 work would take months to reach. 1:1 then carries the work back into the calendar, the company, and the relationships. We'll figure out the right entry point in the conversation.

What does FBR Breathwork actually do?

Facilitated Breath Re-Patterning uses connected breathing to access and re-pattern how the nervous system is organised. Done well and held safely, it produces deep insight without medicine — and the body learns a new default it can return to under load.

A conversation, first

Build what matters,
with calm momentum.

If you’ve mastered the external but know the internal needs tending, this is the place to start. No pitch, no pressure, just a real read on whether the work is right for you, right now.
